How to Move the website that is using GoDaddy WordPress Hosting

If you do not want to use  GoDaddy WordPress Hosting and want to move your site to another Hosting provider, use the Duplicator plugin.

Website installed on GoDaddy WordPress Hosting using WordPress as usual should take advantage of the huge WordPress plugin store , including a very nice plugin called Duplicator .

When used, Duplicator will compress the entire website including files and databases into a compressed file. ZIP, accompanied by installer.php installation file  used to extract the compressed file and install on new hosting. As such, we can easily migrate hosting to any WordPress site easily.

Instructions to move the website using GoDaddy WordPress Hosting

This tutorial I wrote is in the series of instructions for using GoDaddy WordPress Hosting, but you can use it with any WordPress website.

1. Go to the WP Admin page , click  Plugins and select Add New .

2. In the Search Plugins box , type Duplicator and press Enter to search.

3. In the resulting results window, click the Install Now button to install the Duplicator plugin.

Next you need to click on the Activate Plugin link  to activate the Duplicator plugin that you just installed.

4. Now in the left column, the bottom will have another menu is Duplicator , click on it. The plugin will display No Packages Found as below because we have never packaged the website before.

Click the Create New button to create a package .

5. On the next page click Next

6. Duplicator will conduct a scan of the entire server to check, if there is no problem you will get a Good message  as below:

Click the Build button to proceed to create the Package

7. If successful, you will receive the following message:

That's it then, your entire website has been compressed into 2 files Installer and Archive . Press the 2 green buttons respectively to download the device.

Now want to put the website on any hosting just upload these 2 files, visit http://domain.com/installer.php to automatically extract and import the database is done.
